It provides basic information on domestic violence, its forms and causes, dynamics and consequences, not only on women but also on children. A significant part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the necessity of professional approach and procedure of medical and non-medical personnel in the process of interdisciplinary cooperation towards victims of domestic violence. In the research part, the bachelor's thesis tries to delve into the issue of domestic violence from the perspective of five women of different ages who have experienced domestic violence, including during quarantine. Using narrative interviews, it records their life stories and maps the ways in which they themselves try to resolve their situation. Domestic violence legislation under European and international law Abstract This dissertation sets out to analyse domestic violence legislation both from an international legal perspective and, above all, from the perspective of relevant European law. By analysing this legislation, we will then evaluate whether the regulations currently in force are sufficient and actually offer effective tools to protect victims of violence. As the victims of domestic violence are mostly women, the first chapter focuses on the issue of violence against women, with particular focus on the specifics of gender-based violence and its manifestations, in particular sexual violence. In doing so, we will analyse how the affirmative consent principle is applied, as well as examining the matter of sex-based killings (femicide). For this purpose, this dissertation will pick up on the results of a data survey on violence against women in individual Member States, entitled Violence against women: an EU- wide survey, which was carried out in 2012 by the Human Rights Agency. Domestic violence againts women in the context of addiction diagnosis

This thesis discusses the issue of domestic violence against women, and refers to its psychological consequences. The theoretical part of this work explains the definition of the domestic violence and describes its causes and progress. Then, the thesis emphasizes the psychological consequences of domestic violence and, ultimately highlights possible treatment options. The practical part is focused on the process of the research itself. At the outset, it describes the methodology used, and then with the help of interviews, it explores what importance psychoactive substances possess for battered women. In the end, the work presents the results of content-analysis research which evaluates the given research questions. The aim of the practical part is to determine not only whether the addictive substances are the main trigger of addiction, but also, to what extent are battered women aware of the need of therapy and treatment. t
Criminal Jurisdiction in Indian Country - Violence against Native American Women

Federal government, states and tribal governments may invoke criminal jurisdiction over Indian country in the USA. The complexity of relationship of these entities creates legal vacuum, impression of lawlessness, which is harmful for the safety of American Indian women. Native American and Alaskan Native women are more than 2.5 times more likely to be raped than women in the USA in general.
The United Nations and violence against women

The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is a characteristic of the issue of violence against women from the UN perspective. The first part of thesis deals with the general characteristics of the problem. It describes the causes, consequences, documents, organizations and the UN strategies on violence against women. In the second part of thesis, there can be found the analysis of a selected type of violence against women within the family. It is the honour crimes. The third chapter is devoted to another type of violence known as the crime committed within the society and that is the violence against women during the armed conflicts. The last chapter evaluates the UN policy on violence against women. It analyzes the methods and strategies of the UN and summarizes the most important strengths and weaknesses of the UN's work. In conclusion, the author of the thesis adds her recommendations and suggestions for improving the efficiency of work of the UN in combating violence against women.
The Issue of Domestic Violence in connection with the act (number ) 135/2006

Domestic violence has been an urgent problem also in the Czech Republic. The necessity to solve its complexity upon level of the state, not only through non governmental, non-profit-making institutions, is especially expressed by adopting Act No.135/2006 Collection of Laws, by which some acts in scope of domestic violence protection are amended. This Act allows the Police of the Czech Republic to banish an offender committing domestic violence from mutual residence for a period of 10 days and the Act has established a new social service the so called ``Intervention Centre{\crq}q, i.e. a specialized facility that provides help with people who are endangered by domestic violence. The objective was to find out the level of public awareness, knowledge of the Intervention Centres in the Moravia-Silesian and Pilsen Regions. Within the first year of that Act operating, there were the least banished offenders v. s. number of inhabitants, just in the Pilsen Region and there were the most ones in the Moravia-Silesian Region. The theoretical work part describes forms of violence in the family, historical relationship of violent actions with women, possibilities how to prevent them or advised help measures to victims of domestic violence. Further, it is focussed on a legislative solution of that problem area in the Czech Republic and some of European countries or the USA as well. The practical work part involves results of a quantity research that was aimed to discovery of public awareness of the Intervention Centres. The research was performed by method of questioning in a way of a questionnaire. The research was focussed on consciousness of general public relating to domestic violence, whether the research respondents have ever met that phenomenon or what is their opinion on information effectiveness of the problem area. The research demonstrated low awareness of the Intervention Centres of inhabitants in both regions. However, most respondents know what domestic violence is. Nearly one third of interviewees have got certain experience with domestic violence. Majority of respondents consider the information on the Intervention Centres and domestic violence as generally useful. This work may be used to increase public awareness of the Intervention Centres or on the other side to provide the Intervention Centres employees with general public{\crq}s reflection as to availability and activity of the Intervention Centres.
